I was section co-leader for two years in marching band and section leader for two years in choir in highschool. I also taught other student in the lab band class at my school. When I start teaching others I try to focus on building a sound foundation and making good habits at first. Then I move on to try to figure out what the student needs from me, what they are good and bad at and why this is so. I try all the techniques I know and show them how to apply these techniques themselves. Every lesson is different with every student because they all have different needs.
I have played clarinet for seven years, and I also know how to play the trombone, bari sax, alto sax, cornet/trumpet, oboe, & French horn. I can also sing. I've been in marching and pep band for five years, jazz band for three, and concert for seven. I also participated in choir, & show choir. I took music theory in high school. The way I will teach will be based on the person's needs and ability but I will always be patient.
