Native Spanish Speaker, Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from Wayne State University, UTICA MICHIGAN

Methodology

I approach each session by first figuring out what someone may not know and then going back to read the gramatical rules that pertain to the subject. I then make sure to do some practice questions that focus on usage of the subject, for example preterit, subjunctive, etc.

When speaking the language I make sure to correct the student, working to help them understand an error by offering an explanation and then practicing until they are able to correctly answer a prompt.

Background

I am a native speaker, having been exposed to the language since I was a child. I studied Spanish all throughout Junior High and High School, ultimately obtaining my Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from Wayne State University. I am very proficient with regards to reading, writing and speaking and have a good understanding of the grammatical intricacies of the language.
