I have taught students from various backgrounds since 10th grade. I volunteered to teach two Syrian refugees Math and Bio for two years. Now, at Harvard, I am volunteering at the Recent Immigrant Term-Time Enrichment Program (RITE). I focus on understanding the level the student is at. I do this by asking a few questions with increasing complexity. Whenever I realize the student lacks the knowledge or feels unsure answering, I take a moment to check-in with them. I start every lecture by reviewing what we learned the other lesson.
I am a rising sophomore at Harvard College. I got my high school education as a boarding student in Istanbul, Turkey. I was born and raised in Turkey. I graduated in 2019 and got into Harvard. I plan on studying neurobiology and econ. Apart from lessons, I am more than happy to chat with you about the journey.
You can cancel or reschedule if you notify me a day in advance.
