First things for you to know - I love teaching math (why else would I have been at it for so long ? ) And secondly because nothing satisfies me more than when a student says to me, "Hey, I get it! That's not hard after all !! " I've been retired but am still am at it as math education is my passion. I honestly prefer teaching with students who struggle with math, that's why I enjoy tutoring so much.
I've been teaching junior and senior high school and college math for over 40 years in the classroom, and have privately tutored hundreds of students, relieving their anxiety and setting them on their way to much success in a sometimes scary world of numbers. I've taught 7th and 8th grade, general math, consumer math, algebra I and II, geometry, trig, precalculus, and statistics.
I have a Bachelors Degree with a major in Math and a minor in Education and have 60 hours of graduate work as well. I am permanently certified in Math 7-12 in NY state. While the majority of my teaching is at the high school level, I have taught part time for 27 years at the college level as an adjunct
