About Yury

I have been fluent in Spanish for many years and have developed a passion for teaching students of all levels this beautiful language. My travels have taken me to the Dominican Republican and Venezuela, as well Mexico where I successfully completed a study abroad (student exchange) program for my university undergraduate degree, allowing me to develop a love for the language and culture. In the course of learning Spanish, I have come up with unique, creative, and highly effective techniques that will accelerate your knowledge and understanding while tremendously shortening your learning curve. I can teach Spanish at all levels from beginners with no background or knowledge who just want to have basic survival Spanish or students who need to ace their Spanish classes in school/college to financial professionals who require Spanish in their business or line of work. I will help you with your communication and dialogue, grammar, vocabulary, audio comprehension/listening, reading, writing and any other area you need guidance in.

About the lesson

My lessons are fun, relaxed, and interactive where you will be the center of attention. I am easy to work with, patient, and believe that every student learns in their own unique way. I truly care about my students and really want to help them! First, I like to find out what your goals are since each persons’ objectives are different. From there, I will customize the lessons and training to your own learning style. I really like to pay attention to pronunciation (yes, I will get you to roll the ‘R’s), accent, and grammar so that you will feel comfortable expressing your ideas, feelings, and emotions in Spanish. I will help you overcome your fears of talking to native Spanish speakers so that you can really open up and be yourself! In addition, I will jot down some of the mistakes that you make while you’re learning and provide feedback and tips during and at the end of the class so that you’re are able to continually improve and monitor your progress. You will learn new something new every time we meet!
