I teach using an inquiry-based learning methodology, which gives students the opportunity to explore information in their own ways. Rather than being spoon-fed information, I try to make connections that allow students to understand the material rather than just memorize the material.
I have a PhD in Integrative Biology, with research experience in Ecology. I've taught 12 semesters of Introductory Biology at the college level and 5 semesters of Ecology. I've mentored undergraduates in research hours and honors projects. Many of the undergraduates that I have taught have gone on to graduate school themselves.
