I know how to tailor lessons to the student's interests and needs, working over time to help each student hone their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. My work is about building relationships with students of all ages to help them improve their studies and thrive in their academic, work and personal lives.
As a tutor since 2016, I love working one-on-one with students in both ESL and writing. I have a graduate degree in environmental science, focused on writing, and a professional background in community outreach and literacy. While living abroad as a Peace Corps volunteer, I developed excellent listening skills that I use to this day. I tutor ESL learners from around the world to help them improve their verbal skills. I also teach students writing, whether they are just beginning or simply not feeling confident. I have precise editing skills and have volunteered with local writers to help edit children's books, resumes/cover letters, and personal essays for countless writing students.

I recommend Katherine because she is very reactive and her help is of very high quality. Personally, her help quickly helped me write a beautiful cover letter for my application.
Katherine worked extensively with me in regards to reviewing, editing and enhancing my research paper. Katherine took the time to make each lesson informative and engaging which clear and outlined objectives that were met each time. I strongly recommend Katherine to anyone looking to enhance their writing and better developed their skills.
Katherine is a wonderful tutor and writing consultant. I have never worked with such a dedicated individual who is committed to the success of her students.
I highly recommend working with Katherine. She will not only help you improve your writing, but you will also gain a supportive friend.
