Physics degree graduate offering physics and math help in Lubbock, Texas for all ages!

Methodology

I have helped fellow classmates, high schoolers, and even elementary school kids with math or science concepts. Since I learn best with visuals, I try to incorporate as many as I can when helping/teaching others. I also encourage people to solve problems and to walk me through how they would approach problems. I tend to ask questions that lead to solving problems/understanding concepts.

Background

I will receive my Bachelors degree in physics this December with a minor in math. The route I chose to go with my degree was professional physics, which means I have a wide understanding and knowledge base of the subject. I can do both algebra based and calculus based physics. I have also had great success in helping people learn and master calculus!

Research Experience

Undergraduate Research (February 2019 – March 2020)
Department of Physics and Astronomy,
Texas Tech University
• Mentor is Professor Juyang Huang who specializes in interactions between cholesterol and lipid bilayer of cells
• Training done by shadowing a graduate student and taking thorough notes
• Keep an organized lab book up to date
• Master making a phosphate assay to check molarity of different lipid stocks
• Compile data for assigned tasks through redoing experiments
• Analyze and organize data through Excel

My research topic is seeing the saturation point at which cholesterol crystalizes with different types of lipids. Finding these values for each lipid will allow for a better understanding of the cell membrane’s structure.
