As a teacher in a classroom, I believe that a student-centered, inquiry based approach to education is a key to success; and I have the same philosophy towards tutoring. Every student learns differently- at their own pace, in their own way, and in their own style. We also have such different prior life experiences that bring their own thoughts and misconceptions about course topics with them. By working together, we will be able to find what works best for you as a student and unfold strategies for a positive learning experience.
I am a recent graduate of SUNY Cortland where I studied Adolescence Education in both physics and mathematics. I have been tutoring for over four years now in physics and math from the middle school level to upper college level courses. Currently, I am filling a long-term substitute position in a Regents-level physics classroom at a high school in Long Island.
