I have studied music since my childhood. In NYC, I attended The Manhattan School of Music (BA in Music Theory) and Hunter College (MA in Composition). Music theory is of great interest to me for its beauty and as a composer; and the piano is the vehicle I use to compose, teach and, of course, play for fun.
I have given group and private lessons for over 30 years--since my music studying days in high school. I have had many types of students--from very casual ones to those who were preparing to obtain their master's degrees in music. Above all, I want to give the students the tools to realize, in depth, that music is one of the great treasures of our culture.
Rates are listed below. My preference is for the student to come to the teacher. In my home studio, I have a wonderful grand piano and access to many musical resources. This type of lesson has a cost of $50.
