Methodology

I offer online lessons to both adults and children (from 10 years old), from beginner to advanced levels. My own training and strengths are in classical music, but I am happy to work on pop music with students as well! Understanding music theory is an active part of lessons with me, which helps my students to become thoughtful and independent musicians.

With each meeting, I offer my students notes and plans for how to structure their practice outside of lessons, so knowing how to improve is never a mystery. The format and depth of these notes vary from student to student, based on individual needs. Each student is unique, and it is my job to adapt to what works best for you!

I always challenge my students to do their best, while taking into account individual goals, learning speed and styles, and personalities. I push my students as far as they want to go and I am always open to feedback and special requests.

I am a native New Yorker, but currently live in Munich, Germany. Due to the timezone difference, my lessons are best suited for students who wish to have lessons in the mornings and early afternoons.
