•Grassroots Intern, The Family Foundation of Virginia- Summer 2016
As the Grassroots intern for The Family Foundation of Virginia in the summer of 2016, my purpose was to prevent the implementation of new regulations throughout the Fairfax County School district. Through my organization of targeted contacts with Fairfax School Board Members via our donors and volunteers, and created social media pressure, I was able to help stall the regulations. The story was reported upon by a number of local and national outlets, including The Daily Signal. I also wrote election related pieces which were published on the blog of the Family Foundation of Virginia.
•Elections Intern, The Family Foundation of Virginia- Summer 2015
As Elections intern for The Family Foundation of Virginia, I was responsible for managing our target districts, State Senate Districts 10 and 23. Along with the mobilization of our base through local churches and precinct analysis, I produced and distributed our literature across the entire state. Additionally, I developed proficiency with the i360 database, and utilized this skill in my elections strategy.
•South Carolina Student Legislature Governor- January 2016 to December 2016
The South Carolina Student Legislature is a student led organization that has mock legislative sessions twice a year. Each bill that is passed through the student legislature is sent to the State Legislature, and reviewed for bill ideas. As Governor I presided over more than 100 delegates and 30 staff members from 11 different colleges and universities. My duties included drawing up contracts with hotels, recruiting new delegations to join the organization, analyzing bills, and helping manage our website.
•Charleston Southern University College Republicans Chairman- December 2014 to Present
As Chairman of the Charleston Southern University College Republicans, I have planned political events for Republicans across South Carolina. In 2014 and 2015 I helped to plan the College Republicans U.S.S. Yorktown Mixer, which had over 500 college students in attendance from 7 different schools, and featured Carly Fiorina.
