I received my law degree in 2005 from Chicago-Kent College of Law. My undergraduate degree is in History. I believe that a through grounding in the basics of the American Legal system is essential - not just for those who choose that profession- but for sheer survival in a modern world. My teaching style is interactive and draws from contemporary sources as well as classic doctrine. Besides, it's fun to be in the know!!
I've taught groups large enough to fill a gymnasium or in one on one sessions. I've lectured from pulpits in cathedrals and from the tailgates of pick up trucks. I've helped "B" students reach that "A", but it has been equally rewarding to help someone to their GSD. My standard is not based solely on a rigid (and sometimes arbitrary or unfair) grading system - but rather where you, as a student feel you have a greater level of understanding because of something we discussed.
Group rates are available.
Prior to completing my education, I served 6 years with the U.S. Army as an Intelligence Analyst. I graduated Barat College with high honors and while at Law school was the Managing Editor of The Journal of International and Comparative Law. Before I opened my own practice, I worked for 8 years as the lead attorney in the Expungement Division of the Office of the State Appellate Defender. My various life experiences have prepared me for as diverse a student population as can exist in our very multicultural world.
