As a Professional Singer, I understand singing is a personal art and is specific to the individual. What works for some may not work for others so I adopt a flexible and personal approach to developing the voice technically and also aid to build confidence when singing.
Everyone Works at different paces and at different levels so I am eager to collaborate with the student to tailor material to the needs/requests of each student. With experience in most vocal fields and acting experience, I can offer tuition vocal styles such as musical theatre, pop, country, jazz, legit, ballads, comedy songs harmony, breath control, vocal stamina, working through vocal breaks, strengthening head, mix and chest voices.
After training with both vocal disciplines, I have adopted an holistic approach that I believe takes the best of Estill Vocal Technique and the best of Bel Canto Vocal Technique. I often say to my students that aside from vocal technique, singing is mainly psychological! So I specialise in confidence and mindset work alongside vocal training.
Brining experiences from my own drama school training into lessons to help students build a varied repertoire of material to showcase their singing voice to their highest potential.
A lesson would consist of a carefully constructed warm up tailored to the students voice with repeated exercises so we can monitor and track students progression. Each week we will delve into technical aspects of these and focus on a specific exercise. Then the second half of the lesson will be spent applying that technical knowledge into a song we have chosen together or I have selected myself for the student.
My lessons are for anyone with an interest in singing. I specialise with students ages 6-18 but am more than happy to discuss tuition with anyone outside of those ages.
