Professional Cellist with a bachelors and masters degree in cello performance from Rice University. Taking all levels of students from beginner to advanced!

Methodology

I believe that every student is capable of learning to play the cello. Depending on the level of the student, I usually begin with the proper technique to hold and play the cello. From there, we work on technical advancement and refinement, and learning key pieces of the cello repertoire which help to expand each students understanding and development as a cellist.

Background

I started playing the cello when I was four years old. Something about music just spoke to me! I have avidly pursued a career in performance ever since. I have a bachelor and masters degree in cello performance from Rice University's Shepherd School of music. I have won several competitions including Grand Prize in the Ann and Charles Eisemann International Young Artist Competition, and Second Prize in the Carlos Prieto International Cello Competition.
