About Mike

I have taught basic English, College freshmen, upper division English literature courses and directed graduate research projects. Many of my students have gone on to very rewarding careers in academe and many other fields. I have volunteered to teach English as a Second LANGUAGE to refugees from Vietnam and China as well as Latin American students. I have six outstanding teaching awards and three Piper awards.
