About Grace
My fascination with coding began as a teenager, drawn to the creativity and logic involved in building functional software from simple steps. This interest led me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Software Engineering, equipping me with strong theoretical and practical foundations in programming. Over 11 years, I have taught students across levels, supporting them in developing technical proficiency, logical reasoning, and confidence.
I follow a hands-on, student-centred approach that emphasises interactive exercises, guided projects, and applied problem-solving. I encourage curiosity, experimentation, and independent thinking, helping learners understand the principles behind code rather than memorising syntax.
Beyond teaching, I remain engaged with emerging technologies, software development practices, and programming innovations. Incorporating these insights into my lessons ensures students gain relevant, contemporary knowledge. Seeing learners progress from uncertainty to capable programmers, able to implement solutions creatively and confidently, is the most rewarding aspect of my career and motivates my continued dedication to teaching.

My programming lessons are structured to make coding accessible, engaging, and practical. I cover programming fundamentals, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, debugging, software design, and applied coding projects. Lessons blend step-by-step explanations, hands-on exercises, real-world examples, and guided projects to help students build confidence, understand concepts deeply, and enjoy the problem-solving process.
Beginners start with variables, loops, conditional statements, functions, and basic problem-solving exercises. Intermediate learners explore algorithms, data structures, modular design, file handling, and small-scale projects. Advanced learners focus on software optimisation, advanced algorithms, API usage, project development, and coding challenges. Each lesson includes structured practice, reasoning guidance, and feedback to ensure understanding and skill development.
Programming education fosters analytical thinking, structured reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving ability. Students learn to approach challenges methodically, apply logical structures, and develop resilience when troubleshooting.
