Programs Support Intern, paid position (Summer 2018)
After School Matters (Chicago IL)
Interned for Emily Nott, the head of Programs Support at After School Matters (ASM). Dealt directly with instructors in ASM’s employ, distributing paychecks and organizing instructor training. At instructor training, I set up the training exercises and took photos of the events to be used on the ASM website. I also dealt directly with caterers and other partners at these events. Acted as staff at numerous other After School Matters events, gaining direct experience with the teenagers who participated in the ASM programs over the summer.
Fitness Concierge (May 2016-August 2016)
Dailey Cycle (208 S Marion St, Oak Park IL)
Manned the reception desk, checking-in clients for their cycle class, and setting them up on the bikes. Also, sold and inventoried clothing and exercise equipment. Cleaned the bathrooms and studios. I was responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the spinning bikes, as well as making sure that the atmosphere was both comfortable and conducive to exercise. Worked one-on-one with clientele. Occasionally in charge of the children in the Children’s Room while their parents worked out. All of this during the soft-open stage of the business, where procedures were subject to change, facilitating a need to think on my feet and be flexible.
Internship and Training Experiences
Artist’s Assistant (May-June 2018)
Jeri Zbiral, Evanston/Chicago, IL
Worked with archival materials, setting up a multi-media photography show for the Loyola University Art Museum (LUMA). Worked closely with the artists showcased, as well as the museum staff. Got hands-on experience in setting up a gallery show, such as hemming curtains, fielding questions from curators, and hanging artist’s work.
Intern (May 30, 2017 –August 3, 2017)
Test Positive Awareness Network - TPAN

Intern for Development and Accounting Staff. Duties included filing, contacting caterers and other personnel, verifying records for the Housing department, point-person on a mail merge project for the Positively Aware magazine. Volunteering at multiple events, such as the Ride for AIDS, organizing food, music, and crowds.
