My approach to teaching is very detail oriented with an emphasis on examples. I truly believe just hearing a teacher explain the problem vaguely is not enough, watching someone do the problem with you is exactly what I intend to do while explaining my thought process every step of the way. I also give real world examples whenever possible.
I am a recent graduate from Lewis & Clark College where I majored in Physics and minored in Mathematics. During my 4 years in Undergrad I was a peer tutor for all 100 and 200 as well as some 300 level math courses and 100 level physic courses. I was also a TA for the upper division Quantum Mechanics course. I also spent 2 years on the L&C Football team where I played Linebacker as well as served as the team's Math tutor
Charlie and I frequently worked together on coursework during our undergraduate years. If I had one word that described the person he is, it would be unselfish. On top of his own schoolwork and being a football player, Charlie always made time to help others. Charlie and I would work for hours on coursework and when I didn’t understand something, he would find different ways to help me understand without giving me the answer. He is a patient teacher and will not give up until he finds a way to help you understand. I can honestly say that without Charlie being the unselfish person he is, I wouldn’t have gotten through many undergraduate courses.
Charlie has helped me with multiple classes of material and is the best tutor I’ve ever had. He always answers all my questions! He’s one of the smartest people I know. I actually met him at my college.
