I am comfortable giving students lessons in math and physics at the university or high school level. As a tutor, I devote part of each session to helping students work through homework problems, but I also try to spend time developing each student's knowledge and abilities so they can also perform well on tests.
I am a recent college graduate with a BS in physics. While I was a student, I tutored 20 other students in math classes (Calculus I and II) and physics classes (mechanics and electromagnetism). I also led group tutoring sessions for three semesters, where students could drop in as needed and get help on homework assignments.
-BS in Physics from Calvin University, May 2020
-Minors in Mathematics, Astronomy
I met weekly with ~20 students to tutor them in physics and math classes. This involved meeting one-on-one with students to answer questions, help students with homework problems, and explain concepts. I also led weekly group help sessions, where students in any physics class could drop in to have questions answered.
-Physics Lab TA: 2/2018-12/2020
I helped run physics labs by answering questions about experiments and the theory behind experiments, troubleshooting equipment, and helping students analyze and evaluate their measurements.
