About Eletu
One of my reasons for becoming a teacher is to contribute to my community in a meaningful way. Teaching is one of the most direct ways to make an impact, and if I am driven by the desire to help those around me, so for me being a teacher is an invaluable contribution.
I grew up in a high-needs area and I am personally connected to the struggle of students who come from low-income neighborhoods and go to schools with little funding; this sort of perspective allowed me to recognize how much of a difference a devoted teacher can make. An amazing teacher changed my life when you I was younger and I want to share that with a new generation of students.

My aim in teaching is to create a situation where students become enthusiastic about understanding the subject matter themselves and consequently deeply integrate new content and frames of meaning into their way of thinking. To attempt to achieve this I use a variety of methods such as speaking in pairs, role plays and debates. This approach can generally be called student-centred and problem-based.
