About the lesson

I start by asking my students about themselves so I can get to know them and find out what their expectations are. I find out what they need to work on my giving them a few quick quizzes. I look at their past quizzes and am happy to assist them with their homework. I periodically provide them with study guides I have prepared and practice questions to work on in class or as homework.

About Jim

I am a retired Electrical Engineer. I received my BS degree at Lehigh University. I enjoy tutoring and have been tutoring students in Algebra, Pre-calculus, Trigonometry, Geometry and Physics since 2014. My approach is to listen to the student to find out where he or she is having difficulty and review homework and tests to address issues. I then look at what is ahead and help the student to understand what is coming up. My students tell me that I am patient and can explain difficult subjects effectively.

Hello, I was fortunate to meet Jim Miller through an online inquiry. Although we didn't initially connect, we slowly got comfortable with one another through conversation. I didn't identify it at first, but, I realized we may have been the lucky ones. He was able to tutor and help my 16 y/o daughter through zoom. He is a wonderful gentleman his demeanor is terrific and according to my daughter well spoken. She continues to hold a 95 avg. taking only college classes as a Junior.
