Retired Science teacher (Ph.D.) with 20 years of teaching (mainly Biology) at middle school, highschool, and college level.
Methodology
I enjoy helping students who struggle in Science, who - for various reasons - fell behind and "feel discouraged and lost", who need additional help and guidance.
I enjoy teaching students from 5th grade through high school seniors.
As a tutor, I first try to asses how much my students know, to understand why some of them are frustrated in the Science classes, and use this knowledge to work together to achieve proficiency, build confidence, and eventually to excel.
Background
I have BS. in Biology, a MS. and a Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I have 30 years of research experience.
I taught Biology (mainly) and Science in general, in public and in private schools, and at college level.
I taught short workshops for students preparing for admission exams into college, as well as workshops for highly motivated students who desired to know more about advanced topics in Biology.
I participated as an instructor in advanced interdisciplinary science workshops for high school students.
