Methodology

My teaching approach is grammar-based with the written practice of the structure, spelling, and vocabulary encountered in the study of Spanish. Conversational Spanish is practiced at the more advanced levels. A thematic vocabulary approach has proven to be effective in learning and re-hearsing Spanish for everyday scenarios.

I am of 'native speaker' proficiency in Spanish, having learned Spanish before English, while growing up as a child in Mexico. During my career, I taught Spanish for a total of 40 years, from elementary school level to college-level Spanish courses.
