Teaching and learning should be their own reward. I make topics I teach fun, accessible and relevant to the real world. The best measure of new knowledge is applying it outside the classroom, but I also include test prep upon request.

Developed a comprehensive 36 hour foster care curriculum conforming to state standards, trained and supervised instructors in its delivery and created measurement systems to monitor efficacy. Also created a 16-hour intervention techniques course designed to de-escalate potentially violent outbursts, and humanely contain them when they occur. Trained instructors in a highly successful method of increasing student retention that I researched and developed, resulting in a 24% increase in graduation rate.
