As of 2017, I have been teaching for nearly a decade nonstop. My journey as an educator began when, following my father’s job loss, I opened my own private tutoring business with a few high school friends in order to supplement my family’s income teaching mostly English, writing, and the SAT.

Since then, my expertise has expanded to a wide range of subjects covering the breadth and width of the academic spectrum. I am comfortable teaching nearly every academic subject from elementary to a high school level with a specialty in the humanities and test prep. Through contracting and private tutoring for various SAT prep programs such as the 99th percentile exclusive Veritas Prep, I have gained mastery over the SAT, ACT, SAT II subject tests, etc… Furthermore, I have access to an extensive array of educational resources garnered through working with these organizations.

My work as an educator and mentor has exposed me to a variety of working conditions ranging from tutoring foreign students overseas to volunteering at low-income housing projects and at-risk youth programs here in the states. I am comfortable and knowledgeable working with students of all ages and have experience teaching students with both mental and educational disabilities. I have mentored many a student through their college admissions process and have a long list of former students with perfect or near perfect standardized test scores.

Due to my long experience with teaching and children, I possess the patience and enthusiasm necessary to deal with whatever obstacles this job may create. In addition, I have a very flexible work schedule and strong communication skills honed from years as a successful speech and debate finalist.
