Laboratory Technician, (USDA-ARS) National Plasm Repository for Citrus & Dates, Riverside, CA, 2011
Performed basic laboratory procedures; solvent preparation, stocking and organizing the lab for a better work environment. Order materials, received packages and transport of lab materials and samples from one location to another. Collecting and analyzing samples by performing laboratory techniques, as well as using statistical and mathematical techniques. The data analyze was recorded into the databases in an organized manner. My duty as the laboratory technician was to collect samples of tomato Psyllids, citrus Psyllids and citrus plant samples from Florida. These samples were analyzed by extracting their DNA and RNA follow by performing a PCR in able to identify which Psyllids and plants were positive for the greening disease. I was also able to grow colonies using sterile and microbiology techniques for other projects. I also assisted in two big projects; I help collect and performed the ELISA test of over 1000 different citrus plants, located in the greenhouse to test for any positive greening diseases of the citruses in quarantine. The second project was to decipher, collect, and record in an organized manner, DNA sequences on the computer to help analyzed the Phyllis genome.

Supervisor of the Bird Strike Risk, Mexico City International Airport, 2015-2016
Supervision of day-to-day operational activities of the company and personnel; checking, readjustment and placement of different traps and equipment used were done daily in the whole operational track area of the Mexico City International Airport. Capture and release of wild fauna; national birds, migratory birds, birds of prey, also domestic cats and dogs were caught. I would carefully capture and release each specie following the procedures for the proper handling of each specie. I would also use special trained dogs and practice different techniques of falconry with three different species of raptors to drive away the birds overflying the Airport. I also supervised the pest control area, in this area I set up traps for rodents, schedule the application of pesticide per area, the method and the quantity of the product used. As a supervisor I was in charge to do a biological study of the area, that included identifying new species of birds and insects, and evaluate the control method. After a year of the study, my project was done and along with other collaborators a new method would be implemented next year.
