Seasoned Violinist/Violist in NorCal with 20 years of teaching and performing
Methodology
I custom tailor lessons for each student after discovering their music style preferences and their individual abilities, as well as their music-related goals. I incorporate basic Music Theory in every program to encourage learning lifetime music skills.
Background
Studied violin performance in Mussorgsky School of Music, St. Petersburg, Russia. Teaching music since 1995, and have prepared many of my students for San Jose Youth Symphony and California Youth Symphony. I had studied with Sally Dalke, concertmaster of Opera San Jose, Chug Hee Lee of Symphony Silicon Valley and Jeremy Cohen of Quartet San Francisco. I have performed with Nova Vista Symphony, Winchester Symphony, Saratoga Symphony, and have served as a concertmaster with Campbell Community Chamber Orchestra under direction of Pat Isham. I have participated in Community Music Makers bi-annual workshop at San Francisco Davies Hall with Donato Cabrera and served as a concertmaster.
