Senior Biology/Vocal Performance Major and Chemistry Minor looking to teach basic Biology, Chemistry (general through organic), and Music lessons (voice, beginner music reading, and French diction)
Methodology
I am a kinesthetic learner and teacher, which means I like to learn and teach others using activities rather than just reading from a textbook or listening to lectures. I find it is easier to retain and more fun to learn. I also learn by repetition. I will happily set up and send quizlets and activities online, and look for ways to keep learning fun and fresh.
Background
I am a beginning teacher. For Biology, I have completed the major and taken classes in basic biology (A), cell biochemistry (A-), disease ecology (A), and evolution (A-). For Chemistry, I have taken general chemistry (A-), organic chemistry (A-), and biochemistry (A). For voice, I have taught one student and taken vocal pedagogy as well as taken 6 years of intense voice lessons from distinct teachers. I have performed 9 solo roles and 3 choruses in operas, as well as in 25 musicals and both large and chamber choirs. I have been paid for singing in a choir for the past 3 years.
