I like to tailor my lessons to each individual student. Depending on age group/ level we tackle basic theory concepts in a fun and practical way. After each lesson students go home with a warm up and a piece of music to practice, building on the previous lesson.
I am a professional musician with experience performing since I was a child. I have studied classical guitar, music theory and voice for 13 years and have taught over 15 students over the years with varying difficulty levels and backgrounds.
-Completed classical guitar, music theory and solfege studies at IEA Oriol Martorell (Barcelona), 2007-2014
-Tutored 1 student in classical guitar and solfeggio during that time.
-Co-facilitated group music lessons to kids from Algerian refugee camps for the summer of 2014
-Went to The New School College of Performing Arts for Jazz Voice for 3 semesters (2017-2019)
-Worked in Seattle at a live music cafe booking acts once a month (2018)
-Taught private music lessons to 4 students plus group lessons with another facilitator for 3 months (2018)
-Released full length album "Odd Kids Club" with band The Odd Kids (July 2019)
-Performs at Zinc Bar, Rockwood Music Hall, Soapbox Gallery, Joe's Pub, and other venues both leading my band and as a side person (current)
