My teaching approach is a collaborative one, no matter what level I am teaching at. I have taught all levels from beginner to advanced and what I always ask is what are you bringing with you today. Everyday is different and every person is different and I always tailor my approach to the student. I like working technique when I am teaching voice and working from the basics up in everything. We all need a brush up on our basics, even the most advanced students.
I am a singer/actor/songwriter who has been performing for the past ten years and been teaching for the past five. I have taught over 30 students so far in a wide array of subjects from voice to musical theatre to music theory. I am currently pursuing a Masters in musical theatre writing from NYU and I am constantly learning and bringing what I learn to my students as well.
I ask for cancellation at least 12 hours in advance. If not, I will to be paid half of the lesson time.
