About Spencer
I am an experienced flute tutor with 18 years of teaching high school, college students, and adults. During this time, I have taught around 300 students and helped them grow both technically and creatively. My teaching style emphasizes clear communication, personalized learning, and practical application of music concepts.
I strongly believe that learning an instrument should be enjoyable, and I design lessons that combine technique, theory, and performance opportunities to keep students motivated. Many of my students have successfully participated in school and college events, showcasing their progress. My aim is to create a positive and inspiring environment where students can express themselves through music, develop discipline, and achieve their musical goals with confidence.

My teaching approach for flute is learner-centered and practical, built on strong communication and adaptation to individual learning styles. I believe that every student has a unique way of learning, and my role is to guide them using methods that suit them best.
I explain flute techniques clearly, focusing on breathing, posture, tone control, finger movement, and rhythm. I maintain open communication so students feel comfortable sharing their doubts and progress. Lessons are interactive and engaging.
I use real-life musical examples and case studies to help students understand how flute techniques work in real performances and compositions. This practical approach helps students stay motivated and apply their learning confidently.
In addition to flute training, I teach music theory, rhythm exercises, ear training, scale practice, basic improvisation, and performance skills. I also help students develop good practice habits and musical expression. My goal is to help students grow as confident flute players with a strong understanding of music and its real-life application.
