My teaching method is focused on the SIOP model (Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol) which is a research-based, instructional model that is highly effective in addressing the academic needs of English learners. There is a great emphasis on hands on learning and vocabulary.
I have been a Special Education teacher for 7 years and also have a Master's Degree in Special Education. Previously I was a teacher for the English Language Learners. I have my endorsement in English Language Acquisition and Development. I am currently tutoring students on an individual basis but have previously taught in class settings. My students tend to do better on state assessments and classroom assessments.
I have a 24 hour cancellation policy. I require a minimum of 24 hours notice if a session needs to be canceled. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or no show than you will be charged full price. Sessions start on time but I will wait up to 15 minutes for a student to show. Technology issues do happen so please text me as soon as possible if you are having difficulty logging into a session.
