About Heather

With 12 years of experience as a Spanish tutor, I have helped around 150 High School and College students reach their language goals. My teaching philosophy is based on communication, practice, and cultural understanding. I design lessons that combine grammar, vocabulary, and conversation with practical examples from real life.

I personalise every class to match each student’s needs and pace. Many students I have worked with have excelled in exams and gained confidence in speaking Spanish. I strive to create a supportive, motivating environment where students can explore the language freely. My ultimate goal is to help students not only succeed academically but also enjoy learning Spanish and embrace its culture.

About the lesson

My Spanish teaching approach focuses on communication and real-life language use. I believe students learn best when they actively speak and listen in the language. From the beginning, I encourage students to communicate in Spanish without fear of mistakes.

Communication is the foundation of my lessons. I teach grammar and vocabulary using simple explanations and daily examples. Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons based on the student’s learning level, pace, and personal goals. Each lesson is planned to meet individual needs.

Creativity makes learning enjoyable and effective. I use role plays, short stories, visuals, and interactive activities to help students understand concepts clearly. These creative methods support memory and confidence.

Accountability is built through regular practice, clear goals, and feedback. I help students track progress and stay consistent. Integrity guides my teaching, ensuring respect, honesty, and a supportive environment.

Along with Spanish, I teach related subjects such as grammar structure, vocabulary building, pronunciation practice, conversational Spanish, reading comprehension, writing skills, cultural understanding, and basic translation. My goal is practical fluency.
