  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

I am currently in the final year of my B.Tech Degree in Cyber-Security and Digital Forensics. I grew up being the tech kid in my family who was always amazed by her elder brother's laptop and gaming tools. And his best friend was a security data analyst in a finance company, he and I often used to have many conversations about the tech world and future possibilities. Sooner or later, in class 10th I realized that I want to pursue the field of cyber-security as my future career.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My mother was a computer teacher for grades 6th to 10th, she has always shown me the true values and efforts needed in teaching leading to the prosperity of the student, I am glad to have her as my source of motivation for me to hop into this field.
  • How does your work help society?

My job as a cyber-security teacher is to make people aware of their environment and every little thing that could happen to them, no matter how big or small a cyber threat is, it could change the lives of the people attached to it drastically. My main motive of teaching is to make my students learn the concept by actually making them understand how it can impact the lives of people.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

Again, the role model I look up to is my mentor, best friend, and my mother. She taught me that teaching is not just about coming to the class, reading out of the copied presentation, and leave when the class is over, but it's about sitting with your students, discussing the concepts, and clarifying their doubts. A teacher has only 1 hour time to deliver their best knowledge to the students, this is the principle she taught me to live by in my teaching career.
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

I am more of a traveling person and I like to read books related to cyber-security and technical computer enhancements.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

I don't have any such anecdote to tell, but as a student live your student life to the fullest. All the best!
