About Austin

I am a student at Metropolitan State University of Denver. I am in my last semester and will be receiving my Bachelors degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Secondary Education. I currently student teach at Douglas County High School. I work with students online and in person all the time. I have had two field experiences before this where I worked with students from different levels of education. I have also taught a couple lessons at the university level.

While I love Math, I understand the struggles it can bring. There are many different ways to learn the subject. I don't plan on tutoring with the typical copy and paste method most teachers use. This consists of students seeing an example and replicating it. I find that visuals are the most helpful as well as helping students understand why we are implementing the techniques we are using.
