About Sofia

Hi!
I'm Sofia! I was born in Mexico City to a Mexican father and English mother and spent the first half of my life living in Mexico! I've spent all my life speaking both Spanish and English and have fallen in love with language learning, as I continue to see the benefits of being Bilingual. I am currently learning Portuguese and continuing my Language passion at University doing a Modern Languages degree.
As your tutor I want to share my passion for language learning and help you unlock your potential with languages!

About the lesson

My teaching technique will adapt around what you as a student need to focus on. We will build your confidence up together and make sure you are reaching your goals using various types of exercises such as Reading, Writing and Speaking, that I will personally plan catered to your needs.
For GCSE students in my classes I will switch frequently between Spanish and English to encourage immersion in the language and to ensure that students can understand everything they need to learn, such as when covering grammar structures. For my A-Level students I like to get them to practice communicating verbally and try to stay speaking in Spanish for most of the lesson.
