About Paige

I do believe the sky is the limit!! I have done crazy things to help my students learn ... dressing up and ziplining as a library fairy!! Having surprise guests visit classrooms!! Using many hands on activities to learn!! I have over 25 years of experience in education, having taught every grade, from pre-K to fifth, in both public and private settings, as well as being an elementary principal. My husband and I are originally from New Orleans and have lived in several cities in Louisiana.

I believe that as educators, we continue to change and adapt to improve our strategies/techniques to challenge our students to become life-long learners. I have tutored students for several years. I always start the first day getting to know what the student knows and talking about what he/she wants to learn. Then we make a plan together of how to get to that goal.

Details

I would prefer to meet at Denham Springs-Walker Branch Library 8101 US Hwy 190 on face to face. I charge 25.00 an hour. The first time we meet is always free because we need to get to know each other. I need to know how to plan for our sessions. I usually recommend one to two hours a week.
