About Greg
I matriculated in 2019 with 8 Distinctions and a 94% Average. I am currently in my third year of my Actuarial Science degree at Stellenbosch University. I have a passion for teaching and helping students achieve their goals. Over the past 2 years I have tutored numerous students and I would love to help many more on their academic journey. In 2020, during the Covid 19 Lockdown, I started a free tutoring platform called "LockdownLearning" for students who were falling behind due to online learning and to date our lessons have received 340 000 views!

I believe that tutoring is about far more than covering the theory required for each subject. Each lesson is carried out over Zoom using interfaces that allow me to interact with the student. Furthermore, I provide all summaries, notes and study material and all notes that are made during each lesson are emailed in PDF form to the student directly after the lesson to aid them in revision and studying. During each lesson I assess the students strengths and weaknesses in each section and give practical applications to aid in their understanding. In addition, when exams or tests are approaching I remain in contact with students in order to ensure that their revision, planning and studying is all on track! My aim is to inspire each student, build their confidence, lay a solid foundation and ultimately allow them to achieve their goals!
