My teaching approach is to learn/understand the learning capabilities needs of the class, and individuals with respect to the subject being taught, and the students' present and future academic goals. My professional experience revolved around political/economic analysis, editing, and writing. I was Director of Research for an international investment bank where I oversaw the production and writing of daily/weekly political reports. Also, I was the editor of a 300-page Investment Study on Eastern Europe in the aftermath of the collapse of the Soviet Union, which was published in Japan distributed to clients throughout Asia.
For six years, I was a Research Associate for Dr. Henry A. Kissinger at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, and a Research Associate for Europe and Africa at Kissinger Associates. My duties in these positions included:
Researched and edited Dr. Kissinger’s books and newspaper/journal articles,
Wrote country/regional political-risk assessment for Fortune100 companies, and
Wrote letters to Heads of States, and the Nobel Peace Prize nomination for Elie Wiesel to the Nobel Committee, on Dr. Kissinger’s behalf.
I received my B.A. from the University of California in Politics and Economics. I received my Masters in International Politics/Economics from the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy, and Washington D.C.
My post-graduate work includes:
Harvard Global Seminar on Conflict Resolution in Salzburg, Austria;
Soviet Economic Reform Seminar in Moscow/Leningrad and Tbilisi, Georgia;
East Europe Economic/Politics at the Belgrade Institute of International Politics and Economics in Yugoslavia; and

Served as a US Air Force Medic in Southeast Asia.
I thoroughly enjoyed working with students and derived great satisfaction from helping them learn, and I think they enjoyed working with me. I have a flexible schedule to accommodate my students.
