For Math and Physics: I give lessons to anyone who genuinely wants to learn, regardless of level. My teaching style is informal, we talk about problems, conceptual and quantitative, as we go through them together. I believe that all questions are good questions, and mistakes are stepping stones to comprehension. We will also review past assignments to prepare for mid-term and final examinations.
For Japanese: My lessons are best suited to beginners and intermediate students, as my Japanese is a tad rusty from focusing on Physics and Math the last few years. We cover reading, writing, listening, grammar, vocab, and cultural nuances. We will also likely be roleplaying for conversational Japanese practice.
I have a B.S. in Physics, B.S. in Mathematics, B.A. in Japanese Language and Culture, with Distinctions in each, and four years of volunteer tutoring experience. I've helped tutor many other undergraduate students, and have continually helped them all achieve their learning goals. I'm also currently a researcher at IU Dept of Physics Richerme Lab. I've got a lot of practical know-how in experimental physics, and it keeps me on my toes.
