I am a firm believer in fully understanding concepts rather than memorizing and regurgitating information on an exam. In my own academic career, I have implemented this strategy and it has proven to yield incredible results. One of the most important things when it comes to teaching science is the free-flowing and repetitive nature of the information. Much of what a student learns in their introductory science classes becomes mandatory knowledge in order to understand more advanced concepts. My teaching plan has always been to build up from the fundamental concepts in order to make learning new ones an easy and enjoyable experience for my students.
I am a 4th year Biology student currently attending the University of California Riverside. I have over 2 years of lab and field experience in an on campus biology laboratory working under some of the most respected professors in the UC system. I have taught countless students in college, high-school, and middle-school. My favorite subjects to teach are Biology, General and Organic Chemistry, and Newtonian Physics. I have studied these subject intensely throughout my undergraduate career and I am looking forward to meeting new student and helping them by giving a new perspective coming from a younger teacher like myself.
