I tutor middle and high schoolers as well as college freshmen and sophomores. Because of varying levels of education, I offer individualized methods on a case by case basis. When I tutor, I spend at least one session discussing the student’s needs and learning style so that I can adapt lessons to their needs.
I’m a history and anthropology major at the University of Louisville, with a specialization in the Ancient Near East. Part of my time in college has consisted of tutoring fellow classmates in both Arabic and Latin, with excellent results, and also leading student organizations centered on the success of history and anthropology students on campus. I also have experience with some college prep, and would be willing to coach local students on admissions and scholarship acquisition.
My starting rate is $15 per hour, but is negotiable, depending on the subject, student, and circumstance. The first lesson is free, because I would prefer to spend most of that hour discussing the student’s needs and learning style with them.
