I like to have a few different ways to teach each topic/concept. Knowing my audience can help me decided which teaching strath that they will respond to. If I get it wrong, we can try to next strategy! This way, there are multiple ways to approach a problem
I find joy in helping others learn. I discovered this when I tutored algebra for the A+ program in high school. I continued to tutor sporadically throughout high school and college. After graduating college I felt I was missing something, so I’m happy to say I am ready to incorporate tutoring back into my life.
Erica has an amazing ability to explain concepts in a patient, thorough and specific manner. She’s able to make the most obscure concepts as understandable as the basics. Even if she didn’t have a thorough background in the subject, she would always be able to review mathematical concepts, understand them, and reiterate them in understandable ways.
Erica takes the time to make sure you understand the problem. She wants to make sure you learn and not just get the right answer. She is understanding and works hard to make sure you’re on the same page. She is an amazing teacher, really helped me pass my college courses
