Methodology
I base my sessions on the current needs of a student, but also keep in mind the continuing courses that the student will take. I provide many examples and practice with guided steps and a deep understanding of the steps to solve the problem.
Background
I grew up in Houston, Texas and attended Bellaire High School. I graduated from Rice University in 2016 with degrees in Statistics and Psychology as well as my Secondary Mathematics (7-12) teaching certificate. I graduated with my Master’s in the Art of Teaching from Rice University in 2017. I have taught in the public school system in Houston, Texas for 4 years (2016-2020). I have taught AP Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Algebra II, Geometry, and Algebra I. I have taught courses specifically designed for ELL, SPED, and 504 students. I am GT and SPED certified.
