What would I teach? I would begin by teaching scales as that is the basic necessity of any musician.
We would delve into scale intervals, Major, Minor, Harmonic Minor, Melodic Minor, and then move into the classical Modes and finally into blues and pentatonic scales.
There would also be various musical selections given as well as technical exercises to help assist with fluidity and talks of contours within the music and various technical exercises given.
I have taught for over 15 years.
I have created bands from ground zero to be elite musical bands that perform at maximum capacities on the collegiate level.
The bands I work with have won many awards and some of the students have gained entrance into some of the most prestigious universities within the United States.
