Methodology

My name is Mrs. Moore. I am a mother of 3 and I work at an elementary school as a paraprofessional. Before this, I was a substitute teacher in my district for five years. Over the six years I have been working in the educational field, I have worked with many different students from k-8 grades. I also have received numerous reward certificates for my achievements in reading and ELA. I like to live by the motto that all students can learn, its just a matter of finding the way that works best for each student. I am always willing to help students with any subject in the elementary to middle school level. I also have a stepdaughter who is a Junior in high school who I have assisted with her homework over the years, so I believe I could provide some basic help in this department as well!

Background

I am a paraprofessional at an elementary school. This means I provided extra extended services to those students who require it. With this job, I often spend time one on one or in a small group with students who may require a little extra help or encouragement completing an assignment.
During my years as a substitute teacher, I have taught all general studies lesson in elementary and most of the Junior High basic courses. I am also a quick learner and often spend time researching things I may not know so I can ensure the right teaching is being provided to a classroom.

Mary's resume

I attended Jefferson College for my associates degree, from there I attended Missouri Baptist University to obtain my bachelors in elementary education. I am certified to teach in k-6. During my time at these colleges, I remained on the deans list and graduated with a 4.0 distinction.
As I stated before, I have been in the field of education for 6 years. During my four years of college, I also spent many hours in the education field. During this time, I made observations, spent hours working with students and assisting in classroom management. I also taught Junior achievement on a voluntary basis to grade level k-3 during my four years of college.
