Methodology
I am as easy going in my teaching as I am as a person. I keep the knowledge as simple as I can for my students. I speak loudly enough for them to hear, as professionally and eloquently as needed for them to understand me. I can be over-the-top as needed, generating silliness to lighten the mood if a student begins stressing out over content. Overall, I determine to use whatever works to help my students understand the material and apply it to their lives, both personally and academically.
Background
I am a passionate people person who likes to see "lightbulbs" go off when someone understands something for the first time. I have a Master's in TOEFL and a Master's in Teaching from the University of Memphis. I have taught students in Czechia (then the Czech Republic), where I earned my TEFL Certificate. I have also tutored students in the Dominican Republic. In addition, I have 4 years' experience tutoring students with special needs one-on-one.
