Write better—not just for higher grades but also to improve your life.

Methodology

Focus on the writing. Many teachers lead students astray by telling them to emote and “be yourself.” That’s good for a diary but usually wring for an audience. Your work is for others, not yourself. Write accordingly. Instruct, delight, persuade.

Background

Extensive experience at all levels of literacy, writing, editing, and proofreading. Prose, fiction, and poetry. Opinion writing and book writing. Complicated scientific publications, handbooks, textbooks, high school and college academic writing, and translations. Peer-group learning in positive, encouraging sessions. I can teach the teachers.
