Methodology
Passionate about instilling a love for learning to students. I gained experience during my service learning trip to West Africa. Thought provoking and patient in all aspects. Ability to promote conflict & resolution styles. Learning about a students needs when it comes to work is always a top priority.
Background
MFA student at Chatham University. I am published in OPEN: Journal of Arts & Letters, Capulet Mag, Panoply, and Coffee Zine! I am also a poetry editor for The Fourth River Review. In addition to writing, I am studying to become a professor.

While Emily was still at W&J she helped my oldest daughter with high school English. She was so passionate. She spent so much time learning with my daughter. Then, when Emily went to graduate school she continued to tutor in my family. I connected her to my sister and she helped with her son as well. Great teacher!

Emily is an amazing tutor!! She really knows how to tailor her tutoring to each individual. Her strong communication skills allows her to explain things in a way that the individual understands. Emily is a great teacher and I would highly recommend her to anyone!
She is very dependable. I always felt like she was well prepared and so patient when it comes to challenges. She works with her students in a comforting and encouraging way. I would highly recommend.
